Meet Team Green - Kylie and Brad on The Block 2024!

EXPERIENCE

While they may not have extensive renovation experience, having only built their current home in Cairns, Kylie and Brad are ready to tackle The Block without hesitation.

"I will have a go at everything. I can handle a hammer and a drill and I'm not afraid to use it," Kylie said.

With her trademark green hair, Kylie quickly became a favorite among the locals during The Block's filming on Phillip Island.

In Cairns, Kylie works as a hairdresser and also runs a wholesale business selling hair products with her mother.

"I've been a hairdresser for 20 years, but I want to step back and focus more on the wholesale business in the future," she said.

Kylie is strong, feisty, and unafraid to speak her mind.

Brad, 32, Electrician and Plumber

Brad is well-acquainted with hard work, operating his successful dual-trade business as an electrician and plumber in Cairns.

His passion for the technical aspects of lighting is something he hopes will give him an edge on The Block.

"Lighting to me is like architecture. That was a real strength for Steph and Gian last year, and I hope it will be my strength this year," he said.

Brad will primarily be on-site, managing trades and working hard himself.

He plans to leverage his skills as both an electrician and plumber to save money and expedite the project on The Block.

TOGETHER

Kylie and Brad have been married for seven years, having met two years prior when they lived across the street from each other. Brad often visited Kylie while she was breeding German shepherds.

Their life is hectic, centered around work and their children, leaving little time for leisure. They've been longtime fans of The Block.

"I guess it's something we have always watched and thought we could do, so why not give it a crack?" Brad said.
